Software license
Battery Hog’s source code is offered under the MIT License included in the repository. If these website terms conflict with that license for use, copying, modification, distribution, or sale of the licensed software, the MIT License controls.
No warranty
Battery Hog is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Battery, power, process-impact, workload, forecast, sleep, and thermal information can be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect.
Your decisions remain yours
Suggestions in Battery Hog are informational. Before quitting a process, changing a system setting, installing a privileged rule, or gating a command, save your work and decide whether the action is appropriate for your Mac. Battery Hog is not a substitute for hardware service, data backups, or Apple support.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, work, profits, or use arising from the software or website.
Third-party services
Downloads, source hosting, issue tracking, and optional update feeds are provided through GitHub. Homebrew installations are managed by Homebrew. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices.
Changes
These terms may change as Battery Hog evolves, including if donations or optional paid features are introduced. The date above should be updated when material changes are published.
Contact
Until a dedicated support address is published, product questions can be opened in GitHub Issues and security reports should use the repository’s private security process.
