Get Quoted is an offline quote app operated by Faba Development / Luke Fairbanks (“we,” “us”). This notice describes the app’s current data handling.
Get Quoted does not require an account. The app code does not send your quotes, name, email address, app-generated identifier, or notification settings to developer-controlled servers. It does not use Firebase, cloud sync, advertising, cross-app tracking, a developer analytics SDK, or a developer crash-reporting SDK.
Apple, Google, your device manufacturer, and the app store may independently process app downloads, purchases, backups, notifications, and diagnostics under their own terms. We may receive aggregated App Store analytics or diagnostics that you choose to share with the platform.
The app stores the following in its local application storage:
This information is protected by the operating system’s app sandbox. Get Quoted does not add separate application-level encryption to its local database. Device backups may retain app data according to your operating-system and backup settings.
If you allow notifications, Get Quoted schedules local notifications on the device. Quote text and author may appear on the lock screen and in notification history, depending on your device settings. The app does not register a push token or send notification content through a developer server.
In versions released before the July 2026 deletion fix, clearing app data may not cancel already scheduled notifications or dismiss delivered notifications. To remove those copies, also disable the app’s notifications and clear its notification history in device settings. A future app update is intended to perform those steps automatically.
When you choose Share or Export, the app sends the selected quote or a plaintext JSON export to a destination you select through the operating system’s share sheet or browser download. That destination handles the copy under its own privacy practices. Imports read a JSON file you select and place its supported contents in local app storage.
Local data remains until you delete individual quotes, use Clear All Data, uninstall the app, or the operating system clears the app’s storage. Device backups, exported files, shared copies, and notification history can remain separately. We cannot delete copies held by a destination you selected because we do not receive or control them.
