shorts-factory is a personal command-line application operated by Luke Fairbanks
("I", "me"). It runs on my own computer and uploads videos I create to YouTube channels
that I own. It is not distributed to, or usable by, anyone else. This policy explains
exactly what data the application touches.
Use of YouTube API Services
shorts-factory uses YouTube API Services. By using it (I am its only
user), I agree to be bound by the
YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling
of information is described in the
Google Privacy Policy.
What data the application accesses
OAuth credentials for my own channels: the application authenticates
to my own YouTube channels with the youtube.upload and
youtube.readonly scopes, solely to upload my videos and confirm the
channel identity.
My own channel metadata: channel ID and title, retrieved once during
authorization to verify the correct channel was connected.
No viewer or third-party data: the application does not access,
collect, or process any data about YouTube viewers or any person other than me. It
serves no third-party users and has no user accounts.
How data is stored
OAuth refresh tokens are stored locally on my personal computer in
access-restricted files. They are never transmitted to anyone other than Google's
OAuth endpoints and are not shared with any third party or external service.
Upload logs (video IDs, titles, dates) are stored locally on the same machine.
No data is stored on servers, shared, sold, or used for advertising or analytics.
Data retention and deletion
Stored credentials and logs can be deleted at any time by deleting the local files.
Authorized access can be revoked at any time via
Google security
settings, which immediately invalidates the application's access to the account.
Cookies and tracking
The application is a command-line tool: it serves no web pages to users, sets no cookies,
and performs no tracking. This informational website is static and sets no cookies.
Changes to this policy
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
